  • The biggest draw of the Anki Drive system is the marrying of a physical racetrack you can lay down on your living room floor with a complex AI which changes the game on the fly without changing the cars or track. An iPhone provides not only the remote to manually steer one of the Anki Drive cars (much like with other we've seen) but more importantly provides the brains for a fleet of toy cars, knowing at any time where each car is in relation to the others and coordinating their actions over Bluetooth.

  • These cars don’t just try to outrun you, they try to outsmart you.
Just like a video game, Anki DRIVE cars become more powerful the more you play. Keep racing to earn more points and upgrade your car’s weapons and capabilities.

Up to 4 players can race at once.
As long as you and three friends each have a supported iOS device, you can battle each other to the finish line and fight to become the most powerful car. Or use your Android devices.* To get started, just download the free Anki DRIVE App from the App Store or Google Play!

Or, you can race against AI-controlled cars.
An AI opponent controls any cars that you don’t control. The AI cars own the road and know your every move… and the more you drive, the more they evolve.

Set up the race track almost anywhere.
The included race mat rolls out to 3.5' x 8.5' and can be used on just about any flat surface. For the best racing conditions, set it up on hard flooring or low-pile carpet and watch your cars fly!

  • Racing
You control the Anki Drive cars entirely through the free Anki Drive app for iOS and Android. After a fairly surreal setup and tutorial narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart, the app lets you jump straight into competitive races or battles, or a practice mode to hone your skills. Each mode supports up to four cars at once, either controlled by individual human players with their own devices or by the app itself.

Anki is a program which makes remembering things easy

The goal is not just to race but to battle as you do it, crashing cars into each other and trying to knock other players – whether real or AI – off the course. Existing Anki DRIVE cars will be able to take part, too, with the company promising a software update that makes them compatible with the new modular track.
