Planet Skaar is, at its core, a story about what happens when Skaar dooms his own planet and is unceremoniously dumped on ours. The first question to spring to many readers' minds is then "When do Skaar and Hulk punch each other?". A fair question, to be sure. Skaar #12 is where the punching takes place. Skaar finally confronts his absent father and challenges him to prove which gamma-irradiated beast is strongest. Luckily, the issue isn't quite as mindless as that. The real importance of this encounter is that it forces Hulk to acknowledge everything that happened during Planet Hulk and World War Hulk. With the way he's been written over the last 18 months, you'd think those stories never happened. And the true highlight of this issue - and the entire storyline in fact - is when Hulk does react to his post-WWH fall.

Following Miek's ostensible death, Skaar remains in the Savage Land to keep an eye on the remaining Sakaarians.
